Beyond Classrooms
OUTBOUND ACTIVITY
Student Managers at MILE undergo an Outbound Programme marking the end of their Induction, in which they are taught to use their strengths and weaknesses to their advantage through different management games and other activities. This outbound programme is conducted in the wild and proves to be a welcome break from the classroom. The teaching doesn't stop but the change in surroundings is what makes all the difference!
This unique blend of management lessons coupled with the experimental learning offered by nature; result in lessons that are treasured for a lifetime.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We at MILE strongly believe in giving back to the society and working for its betterment. We have been actively participating in the “Joy Of Giving Week”, which is observed from 26th September to 2nd October, for the past 2 years. The fund generated by the students through events such as “Seven Dinners with Seven CEOs” was a substantial amount. Also this activity opened the eyes of the students to the world of “have not’s”. These activities are used as a tool to facilitate the development of student personality and soft skills. .

INTER-COLLEGIATE FESTS
We at MILE believe that competition drives excellence. Hence, we encourage our student to participate in various intercollegiate fests wherein they are up against students from some of the top most B-schools in the country. And needless to say, our students have done us proud!
Our students participated in AVHAN, an IIM Indore fest, which was a 4 day extravaganza which comprised of case study competition “Chakravhyu”, guest lectures by eminent personalities from various fields like education, business, science & government and various other spot events. Four of our students represented MILE in the FINERGIZE event wherein they beat teams from 50 B-schools and secured the 3rd position.
The Pune leg of the Economic Times Quiz 2010 was held at SIMS, Pune campus. Around 60 teams participated in the event from various colleges in Pune. The first round comprised of a Q&A session open to all 60 teams and out of which 6 teams were shortlisted to participate in the final round. We made it to the final round along with 5 other teams (SCMHRD, SIIB, IBMR, SCMLD, and Symbiosis Law School). We stood fifth in the final round of the ET quiz 2010.
MILE was represented by students at Inflore ’09 organized by Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies (RCBS), Cochin, Kerala on 5th and 6th Nov ’09. Of the 45 colleges that participated, MILE was the only college that was represented by the first year students, who managed to give tough competition to their senior counterparts

DRUM CIRCLE BY TAAL INC
Life at MILE is no cake walk! The strenuous curriculum ensures that the student managers are on their toes all the time. But if we give them the stress we also provide them with new and innovative ways of busting the stress. A drum circle was organized by Taal Inc. for the students and staff of MILE wherein the entire MILE family came together to drum away their stress. A two hour activity facilitated by the founder of Taal Inc.,Varun Venkit, left everybody high on energy and rejuvenated.
Taal Inc. is an organization that celebrates the universality of rhythm through drum circles. A Drum Circle is, as the name suggests, people sitting in a circle who play drums. This circle therefore becomes a metaphor to experience a range of objectives ranging from stress reduction, group cohesiveness building, communication enhancement to community building, ice-breaking, confidence building and so on.
