Big Wheels Motoring “Time n Trial Event”
Sahyadri Range at Kamshet
Big Wheels Motoring organized a "Time n Trial Event" on the picturesque Sahyadri Range at Kamshet on the 30th of January 2011, famously known as the "Slopes of Hell" amongst the motoring enthusiasts.The student managers of MILE volunteered and even participated in this event along with bikers of popular biking groups like Roadshakers and Rennegade Devilz.
The Slopes of Hell
The Slopes of Hell are known for its tough terrain with thorny bushes on one side and deep valley on the other. The track was a 45 degree incline and to add to that had only loose mud and stones for the riders to ride on. These slopes managed to give some of the veteran rider’s cold feet. Riding on such a track was surely no joke!
Bikers Crashing
The student managers put in their heart and soul to ensure that this event was a success. Even though it was scary to see riders speed towards them our student managers stayed calm and kept the momentum going. There were bikers crashing right in front of them and they with their presence of mind helped and supported the bikers and made sure they were safe.
Performance under difficult circumstances
This event sure was a lot of fun but it also taught the students some important things like planning, organizing, coordinating, staying calm in the worst situations, performing under difficult circumstances with limited resources and, last but not the least ,the never give – up attitude. It raised their morale and overall MILER’s learnt a lot which would help them in future in their personal as well as professional life.
Big Wheels Motoring Café
The event ended with the prize distribution where the helmets that were given along with trophies to the winners were sponsored by MILE as we strongly promote road safety. All the volunteers were individually felicitated by the co-owner of Big Wheels Motoring Café, Ashutosh Mahadik, who was all praises for the splendid job done by our students.
